Gifts in Memory or Honor
You can arrange for a gift to be made in memory or honor of a loved one to benefit the ongoing work and mission of Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI).
Create Your Own Fundraiser
Encourage family and friends to donate to Huntsman Cancer Foundation (HCF) to honor your birthday, wedding, athletic event, an important milestone, or in memory or honor of a loved one. Each personalized fundraising page provides the opportunity to make an online donation to support our mission. Visit our do-it-yourself fundraising site, Fundraise for Huntsman, and support cancer research.
When you give to HCF, you’re not just supporting HCI’s physicians and researchers in their search for the next big breakthrough. You are also impacting people today—in tangible and intangible ways—who are struggling to overcome cancer. With HCF’s symbolic giving site, you can do just that by giving a gift of time, a gift of healing, a gift of hope, and more.
Walk of Hope
When gifts reach a minimum of $350, donors can place a brick in the Walk of Hope pathway. The Walk of Hope is located on the west side of HCI, between HCI and Huntsman Cancer Hospital. An HCF representative will contact your family to verify the engraving (up to 40 characters) and let you know when the brick is installed.

Thanks to research, many types of cancer are now prevented entirely or diagnosed in the earliest, most treatable stages. We envision a time when cancer is eradicated from the face of the earth.
Doctors and researchers at Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI) work together to advance cancer prevention and treatment. These teams collaborate to ensure each patient who walks through our doors has the best possible outcome.
These teams emphasize innovation and focus on personalized medicine, genetics, prevention, and new, cutting-edge treatments through clinical trials. Scientists in the lab look for new cancer therapies while working with physicians in the clinic who seek new treatments with less-adverse side effects and regimens for the individuals in their care.
The collaborative bench-to-bedside research model also enhances the impact of your support. Cancer teams, including researchers, doctors, and care teams working together can bring cutting-edge treatments to patients much more effectively than working in silos.
You can choose to direct your support to a specific cancer team or the area of greatest need. One hundred percent of your donation supports the mission of HCI to bring state-of-the-art treatment options to individuals with cancer, and ultimately end cancer as we know it.
To learn more about maximizing your gifts by supporting a specific cancer team, please email email@example.com or call 801-584-5800.
Named Space Opportunities
You have the opportunity to name available rooms or facilities at Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI) to honor your loved ones, a caregiver, or even yourself. Naming opportunities have a minimum donation amount starting at $5,000, going up to $10 million to name an entire floor. Spaces include acupuncture/massage treatment rooms ($10,000), conference rooms ($50,000), reception areas ($250,000), an elevator lobby or an entire floor ($1–$10 million), and more.
Opening in late 2022, The Kathryn F. Kirk Center for Comprehensive Cancer Care and Women’s Cancers at HCI expands our clinical footprint by 220,000 square feet. This expansion to our flagship campus in Salt Lake City will provide one-stop screening and treatment options for women’s cancers, increase inpatient hospital rooms by almost 50%, and double the size of our signature wellness, survivorship, and integrative health programs. It will connect to the existing hospital on the first, fifth, and sixth floors.
To learn more about these or other named space opportunities in HCI’s hospital or research buildings, email Executive Director of Major Gifts Loren Savage or call him at 801-584-5736.
"I was a beneficiary of the incredible gift by the Huntsmans to our community. My treatments were harsh and demanding, but saved my life. Throughout, the care and support of everyone inspired me. My parents taught me to appreciate good fortune and pass it on. My family and children understand the satisfaction of supporting such a significant benefit to all."
—Robert Kimsey, cancer survivor and named space donor
