Grossman Lab

The central theme of the Grossman Lab is to understand molecular mechanisms underlying the development and progression of skin cancers. Our past work has focused on survivin, a newly recognized inhibitor of cell death, as a model paradigm to address the role of cell death in both melanoma and nonmelanoma skin cancer.

The Grossman Lab is located on the 5th floor of the Huntsman Cancer Institute at the University of Utah. The theme of the lab is skin cancer - specifically we are studying mechanisms involved in the development of melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers. Graduate students may enter the lab through the Molecular Biology Program, and earn their degree from the Department of Oncological Sciences.
