Visiting Instructor, Division of Public Health, Department of Family and Preventive Medicine

Yuan-Chin Amy Lee, PhD, is a visiting instructor for the Division of Public Health in the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine at the University of Utah and a Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI) investigator.

Lee's research focuses on how and why cancer develops in the general population. She currently studies risk factors and prognostic factors for smoking-related cancers. Her research goal is to identify cancer-preventing habits, perform clinical trials, and eventually ingrain healthy practices that reduce cancer risk and improve the lives of cancer patients.

Before HCI, Lee completed her post doctoral fellowship at the International Agency for Research on Cancer in Lyon, France. She completed an additional postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Epidemiology at UCLA School of Public Health . Lee received her PhD in epidemiology from UCLA and her bachelor's degree in biological sciences from University of California, Irvine.
