
David H. Viskochil, MD, PhD

David Viskochil, MD, PhD, is a professor in the Department of Pediatrics and director of the Clinical Genetics Services in the Division of Medical Genetics at the University of Utah, where he also serves as medical director of the graduate program in genetic counseling. He is a member of the Cancer Control and Population Sciences Program at Huntsman Cancer Institute.
Viskochil studies the molecular genetics of neurofibromatosis and bone health. He also studies peripheral nerve sheath cancers.
Viskochil received a bachelor's degree from the University of Arizona, Tucson, and doctoral and medical degrees from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
