Junfeng Wang, BMedSci, MD, is an assistant professor in the Division of Oncology at the University of Utah School of Medicine and a cancer investigator at Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI).
Wang's clinical work focuses on genitourinary malignancies (cancers of the urinary tract and male genital tract). His research interest is the genomic heterogeneity of tumors and how it can be applied to diagnosis and prognosis.
Before HCI, Wang was a senior fellow and acting instructor in the Hematology Division at the University of Washington in Seattle. He is board-certified in medical oncology and hematology. He completed a fellowship in hematology and oncology at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Greenwich Hospital and the Yale School of Medicine in Greenwich, Connecticut. Wang received a medical degree from Peking Union Medical College in Beijing, China and a bachelor in medical sciences degree from West China University of Medical Sciences in Sichuan.
