Awaken Your Senses: Living Your Best Life with Cancer
Facilitated by trained social workers, this group helps participants manage stress. The
process teaches how to release negative thoughts and physical tension, promoting healthier
functioning and improved quality of life. The group is open to patients with any type of
cancer. Patients may also bring a loved one. Pre-registration is required. For more

Stress Reduction Hour
Huntsman Cancer Institute patients can learn these techniques scientifically shown to reduce stress:
- Guided imagery and visualization
- Controlled breathing
- Moment-to-moment awareness
- Mindfulness Meditation
- Self-hypnosis

Woman to Woman Group
Available to women who are presently dealing with or
have dealt with some form of gynecological cancer, this group promotes
healing in a safe environment. Women can share their stories, celebrate
successes, encourage others facing a new challenge, process concerns and
feelings, learn from each other, improve coping strategies, and receive
information, support, and validation for their unique journeys with cancer.
There are also opportunities to raise awareness of gynecological cancers.
This open-enrollment group is held the first Wednesday of each month in
the fourth floor conference room (4 South) at Huntsman Cancer Institute
