The Huntsman Intermountain-Adolescent and Young Adult (HI-AYA) Cancer Care Program is for people between 15 and 39 years old who have been diagnosed with cancer. With the help of a trained Patient Navigator, we connect AYA patients with up-to-date information about survivorship and fertility as well as other resources and support services.
You’re not alone. Each year, more than 70,000 adolescents and young adults in the United States and more than 1,000 in Utah are diagnosed with cancer.
The HI-AYA Cancer Care Program primarily serves patients from Utah, but patients also come from other nearby states such as Idaho, Montana, Nevada, and Wyoming.
We collaborate with other organizations to make sure AYAs with cancer in the Mountain West have the immediate and long-term support necessary to meet their unique needs.
Collaborators include the following:
- Huntsman Cancer Institute
- Intermountain Healthcare
- Primary Children’s Hospital
- Community oncology providers
