With each clinical trial, doctors and researchers are getting closer to better treatments, prevention strategies, and even possible cures for cancer.
The Center for Investigational Therapeutics Program at Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI) is part of our bench to bedside approach to cancer and its treatment. In the laboratory, scientists strive to find new cancer therapies while working with physicians in the clinical setting who seek to develop safe dosages and regimens for patients. The end result is a Phase 1 clinical trial (first-in-man) that tests new drugs on cancer patients.
