The Grossman Lab is located on the 5th floor of the Huntsman Cancer Institute at the University of Utah. The theme of the lab is apoptosis and skin cancer. We are studying regulatory mechanisms of apoptosis in melanocytes and keratinocytes, and dysregulation of apoptosis in melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer. There is also ongoing translational research relating to oxidative damage in melanoma and melanocytic nevi. Graduate students may enter the lab through the Molecular Biology Program, and earn their degree from the Department of Oncological Sciences.
